3rd year PhD student here having one of those "what am I doing with my life" moments lol. But serious question for people further along or who finished: what do you wish someone had told you before you started? I'll go first: I wish someone told me that the first year coursework performance barely matters once you start doing research. I stressed SO much about grades when I should have been building relationships with potential advisors.
