Hey everyone, I'm looking into poli sci PhD programs that have really solid quantitative methods training built into the curriculum. I want to come out the other side being able to do serious causal inference work RDD, diff in diff, synthetic control, that kind of stuff. Most programs I've looked at seem to treat methods as an afterthought, like you take one stats sequence and then figure the rest out on your own. Are there programs where quant methods is genuinely a strength and not just a box to check? Would also love to hear if anyone has experience cross listing econ or stats courses as part of their program.
