Philosophy PhD placement data where do you even find it? I'm trying to compare placement outcomes across philosophy PhD programs and it is shockingly hard to find consistent data. Some departments have detailed placement pages going back decades, others have literally nothing, and the ones that do exist are formatted completely differently. I know the APDA (Academic Placement Data and Analysis) project exists and has done some good work, but their data is still pretty incomplete for a lot of programs. And the PGR (Philosophical Gourmet Report) rankings don't really tell you much about where graduates actually end up. Has anyone found a reliable way to compare placement across programs? Especially for someone interested in continental philosophy where the "top programs" lists look very different from the analytic dominated rankings.
